What is the difference between GI and GL?

Glycaemic Index is a measure of how quickly a carbohydrate is digested and turned into glucose, whereas Glycaemic Load is a measure of how quickly your body uses the glucose for energy, measuring the carbohydrate amount found in each serving. Some foods with a low Glycaemic Load are sweet potatoes, rolled oats, nuts, seeds, blueberries and beans. These foods will leave you fuller for longer and have an overall positive effect on your health.
